P&G Children’s Safe Drinking Water Program
Solution Overview & Benefits
P&G Water Purification Sachets are small, single-use packets containing a powdered mixture of coagulants and disinfectants that purify contaminated water. Designed to be simple and effective, the sachets can treat up to 10 liters of dirty water per packet, removing bacteria, viruses, and other harmful contaminants. Benefits:
- Effective Purification: Removes over 99.999% of bacteria, viruses, and protozoa, providing safe drinking water and significantly reducing the risk of waterborne diseases.
- Improves Water Clarity: The sachets use coagulants to clump and settle suspended particles, turning turbid water into visibly clear and drinkable water.
- Portable and Convenient: Lightweight and compact, making them easy to store, transport, and distribute, especially in emergency situations.
- Ease of Use: The sachets are simple to use with minimal training, enabling individuals to purify water themselves using readily available supplies.
- Cost-Effective: Provides an affordable solution for purifying large volumes of water compared to other treatment options, making them accessible for low-income communities.
- Rapid Treatment: Takes only about 30 minutes to purify water, allowing for quick and efficient response during emergencies.
- Life-Saving Impact: Particularly valuable in disaster-stricken areas and low-resource communities, helping to prevent outbreaks of waterborne illnesses by ensuring access to clean drinking water.
Overall, P&G Water Purification Sachets are an effective and affordable solution for providing safe drinking water where traditional purification methods are not available, making a significant impact on public health and safety in crisis situations.
