Solution Overview & Benefits

Monere’s app allows users—especially women, pregnant individuals, teens, and the elderly—to take a clear photo of their lower eyelid using any standard smartphone. The built-in AI analyzes the image and instantly estimates hemoglobin concentration. This enables:

  • Regular anemia monitoring without hospital visits or needles
  • Early detection of iron deficiency before symptoms worsen
  • Increased awareness and preventive care, potentially reducing complications like fatigue or pregnancy risks
  • A user-friendly interface, available via the Monere mobile app and Google Play version “Monere for Public Health”
History & Development

Founded in 2023 in Lehi, Utah (with research and operational presence in Kolkata, India), Monere developed NiADA following proof-of-concept AI studies. Clinical validation published in 2024 (Cureus journal) indicates accuracy comparable to point-of-care hemoglobin tests, with improved performance in version 2. The team includes engineering and medical experts from both the U.S. and India.
