NeoGuard is a lightweight, wireless device that continuously monitors four key vital signs and transmits data to a tablet, allowing healthcare workers to track up to 15 patients at once.

History & Development

NeoGuard was developed by Neopenda, a health tech company founded by Sona Shah and Teresa Cauvel, who were inspired by their fieldwork in Uganda. Realizing the urgent need for accessible monitoring tools, they co-designed the product with over 400 healthcare workers in East Africa. Since launching in 2021 in Kenya, NeoGuard has been used across several African countries, helping reduce preventable deaths, particularly among newborns and vulnerable patients.
