Silivhere technologies
Solution Overview & Benefits
The MadiDrop is an excellent tool for continued prevention of waterborne disease and illness at the household level.
Use it to:
- Disinfect the household’s daily water supply.
- Address residual contamination left behind by other treatments.
- Protect stored water from contamination.
No chemicals, fillers, or other related materials are used in the production process of the MadiDrop. It is made entirely of all-natural materials (clay and silver).
One MadiDrop can treat up to 20 liters of water per day for 12 months, or a total of more than 7000 liters.
The MadiDrop is a micro-porous, water permeable ceramic tablet infused with microscopic silver clusters.
The base antimicrobial is 99.9% pure mechanically bonded silver.
History & Development
Formed in 2018, Silivhere Technologies, Inc is a Charlottesville, Virginia based company that provides an effective point-of-use water disinfection solution at a low cost-point to individual users and organizations that work in communities with decentralized water infrastructure.
Our solution is the MadiDrop technology, “Madi” being the Tshivenda South African word for “water.”
Silivhere Technologies brought the MadiDrop to market in the Spring of 2018. It is a small, reusable ceramic tablet that releases silver ions into water at a constant rate, eliminating bacteria such as E. coli and V. cholera, and significantly reducing the presence of viruses (eg: Adenovirus, Rotavirus) and protozoan pathogens (eg: Cryptosporidium, Giardia).
