Inclined Box Solar Cooker
JARTREEDC

Solution Overview & Benefits
Conventional box-type solar cookers are not able to follow the sun's trajectory throughout the day. Moreover, the use of a single reflector requires longer cooking times.
The Inclined Box Solar Cooker is designed to tilt towards the sun's trajectory, so that direct radiation is perpendicularly directed to increase solar irradiance on the face of the cooker.
Two foldable mirror reflectors are attached along the lengths of the cooker at an angle of 115 degrees to the cooker face, in order to increase energy collection. This design allows users to cook more meals, even when the sun is lower in the sky.
History & Development
The Inclined Box Solar Cooker was invented in West Bengal by mechanical engineer, Mr. Sankha Subhra Datta.
