History & Development
Launched by the charity Project Hello World, these hubs are co-created with communities—who decide the location, help build and maintain them, and are trained to sustain operations. Over time, more than 113 Hello Hubs have been established, connecting 124,000+ people and facilitating nearly 2.5 million gigabytes of data usage. The model has gained international recognition, including partnerships with UNESCO and community network champions, and has been replicated in refugee settlements, schools, and rural towns.
