The Fresh Life System delivers hygienic toilet access and waste management in densely populated urban settlements without sewer infrastructure. It provides:

History & Development
Developed by Sanergy, the system began as part of a social enterprise to address sanitation in Nairobi’s informal settlements. By 2016–2017, over 732 Fresh Life Toilets were in use and serving approximately 50,000 residents daily. The model expanded to additional cities like Kisumu and Eldoret through partnerships with local utilities (e.g., KIWASCO) and supported by results-based financing initiatives.
