History & Development
d.light was founded in 2006 by Sam Goldman and Ned Tozun with the mission to provide affordable and reliable solar power solutions to people living without access to electricity. The idea for the company stemmed from Sam's experience as a Peace Corps volunteer in Benin, West Africa, where he witnessed the challenges faced by communities living off-grid.
