History & Development
CityWise emerged from Sanergy’s work in Nairobi, where it developed and scaled container-based sanitation systems serving thousands of residents. Recognizing that many cities face similar infrastructure challenges, Sanergy launched CityWise to share its methodology and technical know-how. Since then, CityWise has partnered with municipal governments and organizations across sub-Saharan Africa to advance inclusive sanitation planning and delivery.
