Briota SAVE Screening System
Briota

Solution Overview & Benefits
Briota's solution SAVE™ (Screening Assisted Virtually and Early), is an affordable and scalable alternative to expensive Pulmonary Function Tests mostly performed in secondary or tertiary care settings. Briota's innovative No Contact AI solution "PFT In A Box™" - Pulmonary Function Test is India's first and only Point of Care Diagnostics with Spirometer, Impulse Oscillometer and GOLD standard Clinical Diagnostic Support System.
The Briota SAVE™ platform includes a handheld digital spirometer (SpiroPRO®), impulse oscillometer (IoSPRO®), and the Nurse Educator Health Assistant (NEHA™) mobile app. It guides health workers—who need minimal training—through high-quality 4- and 15-parameter spirometry tests with real-time quality feedback. AI-powered interpretation provides Lung Health Scores and provisional clinical decisions, enabling early detection and treatment referral.
By bringing diagnostic capabilities to villages and tribal regions, SAVE™ overcomes barriers such as absence of technicians, lack of pulmonologists, and high lab costs. It enables early intervention, reduces disease burden, and improves access for underserved populations.
History & Development
Developed in India, SAVE™ was piloted in rural areas like Dindori, Nashik, where it screened over 15,600 adults, flagged 4,937 at high risk, and confirmed 1,154 new CRD diagnoses via clinical validation. Seventy-five percent of participants in follow-up care reported symptom improvement. The technology has gained support from India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and is recommended nationwide.
