History & Development
Safi Organics emerged from a collaboration at MIT, where its founders developed a low-cost method for producing organic fertilizer using pyrolysis. After successful pilot projects in rural Kenya, the team scaled up with mobile processing units capable of being deployed at the village level. These units allow farmers to convert agricultural residues into high-quality biochar fertilizer, tailored to local soil conditions through data analysis and partnerships with agronomists.
