Puribag
Puribag Water
Solution Overview & Benefits
The Puribag is a flat-pack, 10L capacity water bag which can be stockpiled for up to 3 years, and rapidly deployed to where it is needed.
The Puribag is lightweight (<200 grams) and fits in the palm of your hand, it's mobile and can provide a family of four with their drinking water needs for 2 weeks, or an individual for 1 month.
- It's the perfect water treatment system for camping and outdoor, or emergency and disaster response applications.
- The Puribag ‘in-bag’ 30-minute water treatment process incorporates filter technologies, flocculation/ sorption, and chemical disinfection to meet World Health Organisation (WHO) requirements for safe drinking water.
- Puribag can handle both high and low turbidity source waters, with high and low contaminant levels, and offers a fully integrated approach capable of treating a broader range of source waters in the bag.
- Puribag allows you to evacuate the waste from the bag post treatment, and acts as a portable water storage vessel limiting the risk of recontamination.
- The Puribag is not a desalination system. Use the Puribag to treat water from freshwater sources only.
Each complete Puribag contains 12x P&G Purifier of Water Sachets, each capable of treating 10L of water (a total of 120 liters) - Expansion Pack available
History & Development
Puribag was established with a singular purpose; to provide people with access to safe drinking water.
Their entrepreneurial journey started with a focus on bringing innovation to the wine industry, having grown up in a leading wine region in South Australia, Australia.
A seminal moment for them was seeing firsthand, the lack of safe drinking water in developing nations. Taking many of the lessons learned on this path, a pivot was made, and Puribag was born. Although there are many water purifying products out on the market, most command a high price. This is where Puribag is different as they set out to create a socially conscious, sustainable business, making products which are affordable and accessible to those who need them.
They designed the Puribag to be an effective water treatment product, evidenced by the World Health Organization certification, but also one that does not attract the premium price tag.
Their products are as effective in emergency and disaster response, are they are for the outdoor enthusiast and hiker. With the Puribag being used in 20+ countries to date, they are well on their way to achieving thier mission.
